Dental Treat

This brand of dental treats seems to be very popular with many of my clients.  They come in different sizes for different size dogs.

IMG_20250609_124623934.jpg

Food Topper

Some of my clients with older dogs, who have appetite issues have used this food topper. It is a freeze dried additive that you sprinkle on top meals.

Dental Treat

Many of my pet parents use some type of chew stick or soft chew to keep up with their dog's oral health. This was used inside a treat ball along with some other goodies for a client's dogs.

IMG_20250609_124316359.jpg

Water Additive

Another way  some of my clients care for their canine's teeth and gums is by adding a liquid breath freshener to their hydration routine.  It doesn't smell like much to me, but the dogs seem to like it.

Have you tried any of these products before?

Food Topper

It was my first out of town pet sit that I discovered meal toppers. The dog mom that used this digestive health product layered it in with her dog's raw food diet. It's freeze dried and can be crumbled (with effort) into the food.

Dr Harvey Supergreens

Green Superfood

This (nearly empty) bag of powder is chock full of freeze dried greens that one dog mom swore by for her senior dog's health. It smelled and looked like a particular salad seasoning topping I've used before.

Dog Treats

I actually saw these bags on a display table at the last Petfest event I went to up in Trophy Club. Supposedly, its only 2 calories per treat, and they're high in protein. Its a good size for both big and small dogs.

Dog Treat

This is another item I saw at the Tropy Club Petfest one year. It was marketed toward puppies going through their teething/chewing phase as a preventative against destructive behavior.

Which do you think your pet would like?

Liver Health Supplement

I have noticed this supplement is a popular product with my pet parents with older dogs.

FYI, when I looked this up on Amazon, there was an old yellow label that says 'for pets', and a new blue label (shown here) that does not.  It is the same product.

IMG_20250609_124432285 (1).jpg

Probiotic Supplement

This small powder pack has probiotics that some of my clients layer into their pet's food. It comes in a box of 30 sachets.

IMG_20250501_210430180.jpg

Training Treat/Snack

This treat/snack was one of many small treats and supplements used by one of my clients, placed inside a large chew ball. It gave the dogs some playtime and enrichment, while keeping them occupied, figuring out how to get the treats out of the ball.

IMG_20250501_210424598.jpg

Joint Health Supplement

I have a few clients who use this. I've seen it in a big jar/tub and this bag. Some give half a chew to their pups who aren't senior dogs yet, as a preventative measure.

Which of these is your favorite?

Water Filter Dispenser

Some of my pet parents use purifying water pitchers or containers such as this as a way to hydrate their pets. I had the pleasure of testing out this 40 gallon tank during one of my jobs! The amount of water it holds lasted about a week before I had to refill it.

Fresh tasting water encourages water intake for both humans and animals alike.

IMG_20250703_090251150_edited.jpg

Automated feeder

I've thought about getting an automated feeder like this for my cats, especially since I have one who is heavily food motivated and sometimes eats the leftovers from everyone else.

This unit only opens for animal wearing a corresponding tag/collar that is programmed for them. The dry kibble releases at designated times, easily refilled at the top.

There is also a water fountain from the same brand that can be purchased in a bundle.

Automated feeder

The first multi-cat household I took care of had 5 lively felines with distinct personalities and diets. One ate raw beef, another ate canned, another ate dry kibble, and another took a special supplement in his food. To keep each cat eating their own food, the cat mom used this product. It only opens when the cat wearing the designated RFID collar/tag approaches.

Automated feeder

Here is another automated feeder that dispenses dry kibble.

It dispenses food at designated times with no special collar or tag on the pet needed.

*Note: I was not able to find the brand shown in the picture (Gasky) for sale on Amazon, but the link provided results in a very similar product.

Dog Walk Harness

My beautiful model here is showing off the Easy Walk harness for dog walking. You put both front legs into this device and snap it closed in the back. Him and his brother use a different style harness that goes over the head, but I used to have a regular dog walking client that used it. You can see this item in action, along with the Gentle Lead in a demonstration video I made on my YoutTube channel here.

Shopping GD

This dog has THICK, curly fur that his mom keeps relatively short. But even so, it takes a good detangling comb like this one to keep his fur slick and unmatted.
He and his brother like to ramble through the shrubs in the backyard and often come back inside with tiny bits of foliage and weed buds in their hair.
This metal comb helps de-fluff them so the debris is easier to pick out.

Cat Lures

Cat Toy/Laser Pointer

I've  noticed that quite a few of the dogs I care for actually enjoy chasing laser pointer dots as much as cats.
I wasn't able to find this specific one (which has a laser, blue light, and regular light), but I found a pretty cool stationary one that randomly draws a pattern on the ground for pets to chase and play with.

You can watch a short clip of this guy chasing this one on a wall here.

IMG_20250803_163633498_HDR.jpg

Lint Roller

This sticky-tape brand of lint roller has some of the stickiest paper I've used. I use these at home to pick up cat hair, and I take it along with me on pet sits to tidy up stray cat and dog fur.

It's not only good for cleaning up hair from clothing and furniture, but helps pick up dust bunnies and small debris off the floor too.

The Amazon link shows a green handle, but it's the same product as the orange one I'm holding..

Dog Leash

I did a review of this halter-style leash on my YouTube channel.  It gently pulls the dog from the back of the head and you direct him by the muzzle where the lead connects underneath (the D-ring connector can be seen hanging in the picture).
It takes a while for the dogs to get used to sensation around their maw.

Good & Well

Dog Brush/ Fur Slicker

I only use this brush when this guy has shorter hair. It's good for getting through his thick fur, but for poodles and other dog with dense fur, I wouldn't use it on longer hair.
I have a similar brush to this that I use on all my cats with good success.
I have one particular cat with a thick undercoat and I can tell she really enjoys being 'defluffed' when I use this on her.

IMG_20250206_083511057.jpg

Automated Cat Litter Box

This is the Litter Robot, automated cat litter box. It's pretty self-sustaining. When I visit clients who use this, I usually don't have to do to much as the waste is trapped in a compartment below, containing any odor.
Occasionally I'll have to hit the reset button if the red light is on. FYI: The cat decals don't come on the unit. This is available in black as well.

20241227_125717.jpg

PetMate

This is a pretty basic auto feeder that works by gravity. I'd say it holds about 6 cups of food. Many of the clients with muti-cat households use something similar to this.  Easy to refill, although sometimes I do have to shake it just a bit to bring the kibble down to the bowl.

Must Have Products

IMG_20250803_160938384_edited.jpg

Dematting brush

Metal brush for dematting, defluffing, and clearing out the undercoat of pets with thick fur

I've used this on both cats and dogs

IMG_20250803_163305075.jpg

Pee Pads

Pee pads

Some of my clients with older pets in the home use these around the cat box, or know areas for accidents.
I keep these in my car for occasions that I have to transport an animal, to protect my floors or layer them inside a travel kennel.

IMG_20250803_162900392_edited.jpg

Poo/waste bags

As a responsible dog walker, keeping these in stock is a must!

I take them along on walks and keep some handy for my pet sits to clean up the back yard when I visit.

They are strong and durable.

Bark Buddy

Electronic training tool

A client with dogs going through their 'teenage stage' says this product has been helpful with calming down their barking.

Essential Items

IMG_20250803_163112433.jpg

Fresh Breath

Dog Breath Spray

I won't say with who, but I have had to use this dog breath spray on more than one occasion on a client. It really helps!

IMG_20250803_163037247.jpg

Wondercide

Flea & Tick Spray

Being in different pet environments, I've had to use this more than once to stop flea bites. I pack this in my toiletries bag for the overnight sits I go to. I have a bigger bottle I keep in the car.

IMG_20250803_162257477.jpg

Top Paw

Short Leash

This is an extra short lead that keeps your dog right beside you. It's used for training, but can be used for every day walking too, depending on how your dog walks

IMG_20250803_162227384.jpg

Top Paw

Leash Coupler

I sometimes use this coupler when walking more than one dog. It allows me to have one leash in  hand instead of two.

More Favorite Things

IMG_20250803_160829195_HDR.jpg

Dog Treats

I purchased these freeze dried dog treats a while back to keep on hand for my dog walks, but I occasionally give them as 'good boy/good girl' rewards during my pet sits. They are a healthy option for dog training and snacks.

IMG_20250103_181250906_edited.jpg

Food Keeper

This is a food keeper that helps maintain the freshness of dry kibble, but some of my clients actually use it as a waste disposal in conjunction with their cat's litter box.

A plastic trash bag inside holds the actual waste, while the screw top keeps bad smells inside until its ready to be emptied.

IMG_20241016_094251516_HDR_edited.jpg

Water Bottle

*This item was a limited edition product, exclusive to Target and is no longer available for purchase (unless you get lucky on eBay).

However, I linked a very similar water bottle on Amazon that you can find by clicking the picture above or the name.

I did a review of this item and other items on my YouTube channel

Pooper Scooper Pan & Spade

There are so many ways to do 'dog duty'. This simple shovel and spade is my favorite. The long handles keep me from bending over. Click here to check it out in action.. Follow me on social media for other pet sitting adventures.
